Travel News: Christmas in Big White, British Columbia

Winter Wonderland

We arrived a week before Christmas to a winter wonderland of Big White. This is a ski resort area about one hour's drive from Kelowna in British Columbia.

The pictures below tell the story of our time in the Big White.

Our first try at snowshoeing

We were at altitudes of around 5,000ft. The air was cold and crisp. We had to put a greater effort into walking. The snow covered environment is a beautiful experience. The trees are enveloped in snow and are known as snow ghost trees.
Loving that snowshoeing!
We also walked along snowy pathways . On Christmas Eve there was a Church service followed by a torch light parade and a fireworks display. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Big White. It is one to remember for many years to come.
