Audiobook Spare written and read by Prince Harry - Non-fiction

Audiobook entitled Spare by Prince Harry. On listening to Spare read by the author, Prince Harry it sounded authentic and seemed to have come from his heart.

It is an honest rendition of Prince Harry's life under the glare and pursuit of the British press. It gives the reader a true sense of life in the public eye for the Royal family; there is no privacy and no sense of private moments for this family. They are constantly hounded by the "paps" or paparazzis who pry on them and enable them to earn a living.

Prince Harry indicates that these "paps" print lies and constantly exaggerate the realities of the lives of the Royal family.

In between the reader learns about Prince Harry's life as a young child growing up without his mother, Princess Diana, who he illustrates, was chased and pursued by the British press which ultimately caused her death. The author fondly remembers his mother in his descriptions of coping with this horrible kind of scrutiny. There are various explanations of his life in the army that brought him a sense of service to his home country, Britain.  He served in the British army in Afghanistan.

On his return from his army service, he created the Invictus Games for the British war veterans as a means of acknowledging their injuries while serving their country.  Prince Harry has a strong desire and will to continue to serve Britain in whatever way he can.

Spare is beautifully written and read by the author, Prince Harry.
